La Consulta Municipio San Juan de la Libertad en Cuevana 3. On March 12, 1999, 5,000 Zapatistas left Chiapas to carry out a massive education campaign throughout Mexico about Indigenous rights and the San Andrés Accords. The nine-day campaign led to the National Consultation, in which citizens were asked to vote on four basic issues related to Indigenous rights. More than three million people cast their votes in favor of the Zapatista proposals. This video documents the trip of the Zapatista representatives to the communities of the Municipality of San Juan de la Libertad.
